As we enter 2025, I’m encouraged by IEA’s report that clean technologies now command $2 trillion of the $3 trillion global energy investment. While this signals a promising shift, we must accelerate our efforts to meet 2050 climate goals.

The IEA emphasizes that doubling energy efficiency improvements by 2030 is crucial. As the most cost-effective resource for emissions reduction, energy efficiency can drive both climate action and job creation. While AI presents new opportunities to optimize energy consumption and reduce transaction costs, particularly for small and mid-sized businesses, we must thoughtfully navigate its integration into our field.
