Energy Audit
Energy audit is an assessment of how energy is used in the facility. It helps identify areas of improvement to reduce consumption and save money. Depending on the facility and the scope of the Energy audit, it generally involves analysis of Utility Bills, Performing Walk through of the facility, Interviewing Facility operator, Analyzing Building automation Trends to identify Energy and Cost reduction opportunities. In several facilities, we also install loggers to identify energy wastages.
The findings of the Energy audit are presented, which discuss the following
- Methodology of the Energy audit
- Facility Description
- Utility Bills analysis
- List of Energy and Cost Reduction measures with Energy, Cost and GHG savings and pay back of measures.
- List of available Incentives and Grants
Measures are of two types namely Capital and Operational. The capital measures generally involve significant investment of Capital, whereas the operational measures involve identification of low-cost opportunities.
Depending on the effort involved in the Energy audits are categorized as ASHRAE level -1, Level 2 and Level -3 audits. Level 1 is a walkthrough energy audit to assess energy reduction potential in the facility, Level 2 Energy audit involves a more detailed analysis of the opportunities with Cost and Energy savings for each individual measures.
Reipower has performed ASHRAE Level -1, 2 Energy audits for a wide range of Commercial and Industrial Facilities such as Office Buildings, Multi Residential Buildings, shopping malls, Arenas, Municipal Buildings, Hotels, Coffee Processing Facility, Plastic Extrusion Plant, etc.
